Hi Beth,

I'm so glad you stopped by. I love your blog and admire all the hard work you've done in the form of trial and error so the rest of us don't have to. Your diligence is impressive and exhausting all at the same time.

Thanks for the comment. I think it all has to start in small steps so the changes will stick.

Hey, thank you so much for including Fake Plastic Fish in your comprehensive rundown of the issues associated with plastic. I'm glad you recognize that degradable plastics are not necessarily the answer. Cutting our consumption will help solve environmental problems beyond plastic pollution, like global climate change.

As far as my having time on my hands, that part just made me laugh because as my friends will tell you is that I just don't sleep. That's where the time comes from. But normal people (not ones who are obsessive bloggers like me) can certainly cut their plastic consumption significantly with just a little pre-planning -- starting with remembering to bring not only reusable bags but reusable travel mugs, water bottles, utensils, take-out containers, etc. It takes a bit of time to develop the habit, but so do any positive changes we want to make. Eventually, it becomes automatic.
