What’s in a name? In last night’s press conference, President Obama called the strain of influenza by its scientific name, in a likely attempt to take some heat off the pork industry, which is taking some major hits on this one in spite of officials’ insistence that eating pork is as safe as ever. Others, however, have coined the terms NAFTA flu and factory farm flu.
Could Google have caught it sooner? Wired thinks so.
