NYC Event: Fundraiser Dinner for Brooklyn Food Conference

April 1st, 2009 by leslie · No Comments

Tomorrow night, the organizers of the Brooklyn Food Conference are hosting a fundraiser dinner to help support the conference, which will be held May 2, at John Jay High School and PS 321. Speakers will include Raj Pattel, Anna Lappe, LaDonna Redmond (who blew our minds at last fall’s World Hunger Year) and Dan Barber. Eat Well friend and consultant Kerry Trueman and I (Leslie Hatfield) will both be presenting panels at the event. So if you’re going to be in town May 2, register! In the meantime, here are the details for tomorrow’s fundraiser, straight from the source:

3-course dinner Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 7:30 p.m., $40

Monkey Town, 58 North Third Street (on Whythe Avenue), Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Doors will open at 7:30pm and dinner will begin at 8 pm. This is a great opportunity to support a growing sustainable/healthy food network in Brooklyn and enjoy an evening with experimental culinary creations. In order to make this conference accessible to all, and to start the Brooklyn Food Coalition, we need the help of many food lovers and advocates.

Reservations are highly recommended–click here. Please feel free to invite your friends or send this along to those you think will be interested. (718) 384-1369

We welcome donations from individuals and funding from foundations and food companies.
