It is far easier to ruin a home-cooked meal if you get distracted than it is to ruin take-out food.  Well-off foodies have backup plans if they burn their chicken or their lentils; poor people can&#039;t always afford backup plans (in money or time). Also, buying in bulk only makes sense if you have the cash to do so, and if storage space is not an issue in your kitchen. Finally, canning one&#039;s vegetables may be cost-effective, but if done incorrectly can make people very ill. Please stress safety issues and education when you encourage people to save money in these ways.</description>
