Today’s Healthy Monday Tip: Eat your way healthy.
Supplements promise a lot, but the best source of valuable vitamins, minerals and antioxidants is still real food. Just be sure to make balanced food choices so you meet all your nutrition needs. Eat a variety of colors! This should be easy to do right now with the abundance of produce during this season. I received eggplant, red and orange peppers, red leaf lettuce, plums, peaches, green beans, tomatoes and more colors from my CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) this week. You could probably find even more colors at the farmers market. Make it a game to see how many colors you can include in one meal, have fun and get healthy!
